1. Our Privacy Commitment

Colortron is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe color picking should be a private activity, and we’ve built Colortron to respect your privacy completely.

Key Statement: Colortron collects NO personal data from your device or activity.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Colortron does NOT collect, store, or transmit:

❌ Your contacts or call history
❌ Your photos or camera roll (except the exact color you capture)
❌ Your device identifiers or advertising ID
❌ Usage analytics or behavioral data
❌ Account information or sign-up data
❌ Browsing history or internet activity
❌ Email or messaging data
❌ Biometric data
❌ Health or fitness information
❌ Financial information (except payment for premium)

3. Information Processing

Color Data

When you use the camera color picker, we process pixel data only on your device
No color data is stored on our servers
No color history is transmitted anywhere
Your color picks are stored locally on your device only

Optional Cloud Features

Colortron may offer optional cloud sync features in the future
Any such features would use your personal iCloud or similar accounts
We would not access or store your data on our servers
Any cloud features would be entirely optional

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store
We do not collect, store, or see your payment details
Apple processes all payment information according to their privacy policy

4. Automatic Data Collection

Colortron does NOT use:

❌ Analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
❌ Crash reporting services
❌ Advertising networks
❌ Tracking pixels or tags
❌ Third-party SDKs for data collection

The only automatic data we collect is:

Basic performance metrics (crash logs stored locally)

5. Permissions We Request

Camera Permission

Why: Required for camera color picker feature
Used for: Capturing colors from real-world objects via your camera
Not used for: Recording video, taking photos, identifying objects, or location tracking

Photo Library Permission

Why: Allows you to pick colors from photos in your gallery
Used for: Extracting colors from your photos only
Not used for: Scanning your entire library, collecting metadata, or sharing with others

Cloud Services (Future)

Why: Potential future cloud syncing features
Used for: Securely syncing data between your devices via your personal iCloud account
Not used for: Backing up to our servers or sharing with us

6. Third-Party Services

Colortron uses minimal third-party services:

Apple Services (Required)

App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
iCloud: For optional cloud sync of your personal data
Apple Privacy: Governed by Apple’s privacy policy

Important Note

We do NOT use:

Google services or Firebase
Facebook SDK or tracking
Amplitude, Mixpanel, or other analytics
Advertising networks
Content delivery networks that track users

7. Data Retention

Local Data: Color picks and palettes are stored only on your device
Deletion: You can delete any saved data at any time within the app
Account Deletion: No account creation required - deleting the app removes all local data
Cloud Data: If any cloud features are used in the future, you control that data in your own cloud account settings
Server Data: We maintain no servers that store your personal data

8. Data Security

Security measures we implement:

✅ iCloud sync uses Apple’s end-to-end encryption
✅ No passwords or login required (nothing to hack)
✅ No tracking cookies or identifiers

Compliance Statement: Since Colortron collects no personal data, GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws’ provisions regarding user data largely don’t apply. You have full control of your data on your device.

10. Children’s Privacy

Colortron is suitable for all ages, including children:

We collect no personal information
We contain no ads or tracking
We contain no in-app messaging or social features
Parents can control app access through parental controls

11. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control:

Data Access

All your data is stored on your device - you can access it anytime
You can export colors in standard formats (HEX, RGB, etc.)

Data Deletion

Delete saved colors anytime within the app
Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
Control any cloud storage settings in your own cloud account

Privacy Settings

Disable camera access in iOS Settings if you don’t need the camera picker
Disable photo library access in iOS Settings if you don’t need photo color extraction
Manage any cloud storage in your account settings

No Profiling

We don’t create profiles about you
We don’t use your data for targeted advertising
We don’t sell or share your information

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to:

Reflect new features
Comply with law changes
Fix inaccuracies

We will notify you of material changes through app updates. Your continued use means you accept the changes.
